Cat and I left Korea today at 8am and headed for the airport. After 45 min waiting for the bus (we missed the first one by 1 traffic light and the second one because we were on the wrong side of the station), we made it to the airport via Airport Limousine. We turned in the cell phone and I got my $300 deposit back. The total fees for the mobile phone 10 days, was only $18.50!!! Calls, text, rental included. J
Our flight was delayed approximately 1 ½ hrs, but the Asiana flight was great compared to United. More leg space, comfy chairs, personal TVs, and practically half the plane was empty. We weren’t shy about spreading out and taking a nap. To top it all off, we had this kimchi meal (originally we didn’t have any food scheduled).
We arrived at the Taipei Airport, our checked bags came quickly (lucky!), and we were greeted by the taxi driver- sign said “LEE” and Cat’s Chinese name on it. It was a luxurious ride back home where we could plug our ipod in to the speakers, there was a fridge with water, soft carpet on the floor, chargers for phones, and cushioned seats. No, it wasn’t an apartment- it was a cab ride. :P
We arrived in Shi Zhi, greeted by aunt Peggy lil’ John. John took us to a night market for food- we had pepper buns, stinky tofu, had these egg/seafood/veggie patties, and played at an arcade (DDR with your hands?). I wanted to get something at Carefour supermarket- I picked up some candy in a tin (sort of a kid thing here in Taiwan).
