Cat and I headed out to Dongdemun district and looked at some graphic galleries & museums there to learn a bit of history- it was really interesting to know that Koreans love baseball. We were cruising along until Cat "accidentally" pushed this blue button (thinking it would turn on the hand dryer) when the museum alarm went off.... LOL There was this really cool shadow interactive program where it would flip cards based on movement of a shadow over that area of a projection... never seen tech like that in the US. We
tried to go shopping, but I don't think department stores are our kind of thing. It was really hard to even begin to buy something, let alone following through. Sometimes, language barriers can ruin the experience. We picked up some cheap clothes for <$5 ea. along with a few pricey scarves and hats. We haggled the scarf & hat- Cat was so embarrassed to be asking for a lower price. :3 She kept looking at me with those eyes that say "what do I say to her?!
Now what do I do?!" hahaha so funny <3 She was excited about it afterwards. We did some street shopping in that area and headed out to Meyong-dong for some more shopping when we stumbled upon Beard Papas. YES!!! SCORE!!! The best cream puffs.... mmmm~ There was a show outside in the shopping area where they would play a random song and these guys had to try to dance the music video dance as best as they could in front of an audience! Embarrassing? Just a bit. ;) It started raining really hard and we didn't get much shopping done before we headed back. A detour took us back to caffe bene to get a strawberry, red-bean patbingsu shaved ice. This time, it was with gelato! Absolutely fabulous.
Bryan, I'm going to have to bring you here someday to try all this food. <3
